Day 10: Starting Something New
Today marks the beginning of something I’ve been putting off for too long - starting a daily diary. There’s something both intimidating and exciting about committing to write every day.
I woke up earlier than usual, around 6:30 AM, and noticed how quiet the world feels in those early morning hours. The coffee tasted better somehow, maybe because I actually had time to savor it instead of rushing out the door.
Work was the usual mix of meetings and deadlines, but I found myself paying more attention to the small moments - the way sunlight streamed through the office window, the sound of keyboards clicking in rhythm, the brief conversations by the water cooler that somehow feel more meaningful when you’re really listening.
This evening, I decided to take a walk around the neighborhood instead of immediately diving into my phone. It’s amazing how many details you miss when you’re always rushing. I noticed a new café that opened up, saw a neighbor’s garden full of blooming flowers, and watched kids playing in the park until their parents called them in for dinner.
I’m curious to see how this daily writing practice will evolve. Will I run out of things to say? Will patterns emerge that I can’t see yet? Only one way to find out.
Tomorrow is Day 2.
